An Irish Setter is not a dog for everyone. They are
sporting dogs and do have high energy levels. Before you decide that
an Irish Setter is the dog for you and your family, please take the
time to learn all you can about this breed.
Here at Echo Run we strive to breed happy, healthy, well
socialized and loving companions with the potential to
be whatever their owners want them to be.....a wonderful well
loved pet, a conformation champion, an agility, obedience or
therapy dog.
We are
very selective in our breeding program and generally there is a
waiting list for a puppy. Occasionally, an older dog might
be available.
We
endeavor to raise our Irish Setters holistically.
- We
take a holistic approach to feeding
- They
receive Homeopathic Veterinary care. Conventional Veterinary
care when necessary
- Testing is
done and health clearances are very important to us in our
breeding program
- Our dogs
are given single vaccines, and only the ones
recommended by our Veterinarians
- They are
not kennel dogs, and are raised as family dogs.
- Socialization and training of puppies
begins shortly after birth.
- We
subscribe to the ISCA Breeder Code Of Ethics
We are
also volunteers for Irish Setter Rescue. For information
about adopting a rescue dog please check our rescue page or the
ISCA website
